I started twitching in late May. I developed a pain in my left shoulder blade and decided to look on the internet to see what it could be. Some of the answers scared me so I went to the DR. HE xrayed my shoulder and didn't see anything so he thought it was an inflammed muscle. I was given a steriod and muscle relaxer. The muscle relaxer made my sick and dizzy. I quit taking it but I couldn't get rid of the sick feeling. I went back to see him three more times. The first time I had and EKG on my heart, everything was fine, and he took blood. The next time i just wanted something for the nauseau. Then my tongue started twitching and I went to the internet to find out what caused it and that's when I found what I found. After reading here for weeks I know everyone knows what I found. When I went back the third time they referred me to a neurologist.I went to see a neurologist in early June, my complaints were the twitching in my tongue and legs and pain in my left arm, shoulder and hand. He asks a few questions, gave me what I now know was a clinical exam and said I had BFS. My arm pain he said was from a pinched nerve in my neck. He said they usually fix themselves but if it wasn't better or healed in three months to come back. I was relieved for about a day then started having intense pains in my legs, feet and hand. I was afraid they were cramps because that was another symptom i read about that awful disease. I made an appointment with my ob/gyn for a complete physical because I was so tired. I had lost close to 15 pounds. she took more blood and told me to start taking magnesium and drinking water and eating a banana a day to help with the muscle cramps, spasms and twitching. then found out my b12 was low so i am taking that now. the problem is my fingers on my left hand and the toes on my left foot hurt. its an intense pain, that feels like a cramp but nothing is curling in. it just hurts and though it is not constant it hurts more often than it doesnt. does anyone here experience this? My twitches have slowed down but i still have them. my tongue only twitched for a few days. anyone's input would be appreciated.
