Reactions to Vaccines & CIDP

me too guys,

my symptoms all seemed to start after getting an MMR booster. I can't remember if I have had rxns in the past to vaccines? But for whatever reason, I do not mount a good immune response to vaccines hence the multiple MMR vaccines I have needed to get...or maybe it was Hep B vaccine that I got just a few months prior. I have had to get like 6-7 Hep B vaccines?

CIDP... I never heard of it before? Thanks for the tip, I will have to read up on it.

Hi,

My twitches started in June two weeks after I took MMR and Hep B immunizations. I have a strong feeling that one of those triggered these twitches too !

Hello, I am new to this forum. When I saw the topic of flu shots I had to chime in. Fifteen years ago I was diagnosed with benign fasciculations accompanied with extension tremor. For some reasont he tremor is worse on my left side but the twitching is equal on both sides. After going through the normal pattern of being scared about als etc, I finally put it behind me and within the last year the twitching rarely bothered me and the trmor was improved. I have been getting flu shots every year and within the last 5 noticed no difference and never even thought about it, but looking back I remember viruses making the symtoms worse. To make a long story somewhat short, I get a flu shot this year and boom two days later my arches in my feet are twitching uncontrollably. This then moves up my legs to my calves. and internittantly in the area between the feetand calves. Now I am getting random twitching all over along with constant twitching in my arches and calves. Im going through the normal panic pattern and am worrying again. I really think it had to do with the shot, but I can't prove it. Logically having suffered with this for so many years and then improving, I should not be thinking bad things but then there is the emotional side of the brain where logic dissapears and fear takes over... I have an EMG on the 12th, so we will see what is discovered at that point. Just wanted to tell my story. I am sure glad I found this site. Thanks for reading.

That is where mine started after my flu shot, my arches like CRAZY! They still are. That is still the main area for me, but I do get them all over. I have had one in my left arm on and off for a few days after doing pushups. I have no doubt that this is all connected to my flu shot, wayyyy too coincidental for it not to be! So sorry to hear that yours got worse after the flu shot, but since we aren't the only ones hopefully it can calm our fears!

Very interesting... my twitches started a couple of weeks after I received my flu shot this year.

So maybe I CAN expect these twitches to stop then??? I never knew that the flu vaccine could cause twitching. I'll just have the flu next year, thank you very much.
