Long-lasting Toe Twitch - Help?

I'm just wondering if any of you have had a long-lasting toe twitch before? It's on the side of my foot, up to my big toe, and it rapidly twitches 24/7 for the last 3 days, One of the longest twitches I've had so far. Usually my twitches would go away after sleeping, but this one is there when I wake up, and when I go back to bed.It is pretty annoying, feeling my toe move and the side of my feet pulse like this.I did think it stopped for awhile today, but once I got move, I felt it again, and its been like this nonstop. Not scared, just another twitch, only thing that is bad for me like I said, is it has been here for 3 days straight, really hard to go to sleep.I know all your responses will be "calm down, i've had toe twitches too, you'll be fine" Just wondering if yours lasted longer then a few hours or days.(haha, now I see why I'd go insane if I had that 24/7 calf twitching)

I didn't have something like that in my toe, but there was one spot on my calf that twitched for about a week, every time I lied down. The twitch was rapid and constant and made me trouble with falling asleep.

I have this too. My left big toe will twitch and it will slowly move on it's own. I've had this for awhile and I only notice it when my shoes and sock are off and my feet are propped up.

I still have this twitch.I didnt feel it much at all yesterday or today, then it suddenly starts up an hour ago and has been rapidly twitching ever since.A few parts on my arch of my foot is twitching along with it, trying to keep my anxiety down.

Starting to get panicky again, ugh.My toe is still twitching, but it wasnt as bad, then suddently it goes into a rapid mode. It isnt just my toe, its the muscle from the arch up to my toe, and it feels like a click when it twitches, as if its hititng a bone.Been like this for about 30 minutes now, and im pacing again, I was laying down to go to bed but I dont see that coming anytime soon, its very rapid.I'm trying to calm down but this is crazy, it has a rhythm and twitches 3-4 times a second, no break. been rubbing, moving it, nothings working.

Try massaging your calf. I got that too and I had to massage my calf. I didn't realize the toe twitches could be related to tight calf muscles. I used to get the toe twitches alot now they subsided. Or drink more water.

I can't tell you how many times I've had that toe twitch. I also get the clicking sound you are referring too. It comes and goes. It's all part of BFS. It has taken me 10 months to realize that but it really is just BFS.

Thanks for the help. It's still there, really strange. It has been over a week and it's been constantly twitching the arch of my foot since. Not even sure if it was caused by anything I did, started when I was laying in bed, hasnt stopped since.I also havent taken a walk in the past few weeks due to the cold weather here in Florida, so maybe lack of exersize (Walking awhile seems to cause my twitches to happen more)Hate cold weather!

I've had toe and finger twitches for several months now, no longer afraid of any of that weirdness.I had my Neuro appt today and while he diagnosed me with BFS last year, he still doesn't buy into the concept of BFS being a totally benign syndrome without long-term negative effects on the neuro-muscular system. I flat out asked him what detrimental effects he thought this constant twitching could have on the neuro-muscular system and he stated: "I don't know, maybe slow deterioration of nerve fibers." I have a feeling I'll be his research subject from now on. This Neuro specializes in **S and neuromuscular disorders, so his comments got me a little concerned but not enough to make it the focus of my life. He prescribed LIRICA---->don't know if that'll help. Has anyone on this board taken Lirica or is taking that?Since the topic of this particular post is "TOE TWITCH," I made sure to ask about the significance of finger & toe twitching, if any. He was unphased by my question and simply stated that it made sense to have finger & toe twitching since the muscles controlling fingers and toes are finer-movement muscles.Stay calm all.

I tried Lyrica but did not stay on it long. It seemed to help some but I didn't like the side effects. It made me a bit dizzy so I just stopped taking it.
