Hi! I just noticed that at rest my tongue is always moving does this look worrysome? I cant feel them happening, i only notice them if I look at my tongue.

I don't mean to be rude but how could you not feel them you tongue is moving backward and jumping. I can feel tiny twitch In my tongue. I am sorry to ask but are you moving it in that way ? I m hoping some veteran come and share their thought with you because they are more knowledgable than I am But if you can still move your tongue left right and no problem swallowing you will be ok. Twitching without weakness is not harmful. Can you still say lalalala and kakakaka papapapa fast ?I learned that from my neuro. Don't panic soon someone will answer you

When it moves back it is me placing it in a more relaxed resting position. The little twitches is what is not voluntary and what I dont feel. I can still talk fine although sometimes i feel as if I stumble on words. It moves frome side to side just fine.

Oh thank you lord I was thinking you are talking about the big twitch when you actually moved it back. Yes I saw that little twitch. You are fine as long as you don't have weakness. You know how many times I have slurred speech oh I lost count. But if you go back and correct yourself you are fine don't worry. No wonder maybe my tongue have your kind twitch that i don't feel but guess won't I am not going to investigate it because it only make my anxiety worse and it don't want to go back to where I had been.

Hahaha yea! The twitches I get on the back of my tongue are not voluntary. YThe voluntary part is from second 25 to second 28. I move it because I notice it wanst in a complete resting position.

Hey,I get the same little twitches that I don't feel... Well I can kinda feel them if I open my mouth and see them but I think those type are enduced by holding your mouth open and using that muscle group... My main tongue twitch is right on the tip, at its worst every time I said a word ending in s or a zzzz noise it started twitching for about 10 seconds ... It kinda twitched every minute and I felt it very strong... When my anxiety was sky high I had other tongue twitches too that zapped me and jolted me... My advice as a fellow tongue twitcher is don't keep opening your mouth and looking for them as there are loads of us here ... They honestly look more like regular tongue movement rather than twitches...

This is not fasciculation at all. You cannot hold your tongue still - that is the gross back and forth movement and big jumps - and that is why occassionally you can see the little twitches which are just the same in smaller bundles. On YouTube you can easily find how tongue fasciculations looks like if you really think this is your case. But I'm telling, it is not.

Do you guys mean that this isnt even what bfs twitching looks like?? They arey just normal tongue movements that any healthy tongue would have? My husband wont show me his tongue anymore since he is so annoyed with my health anxiety.

I'm not a doctor but knowing first had what a tongue twitch looks like I would say that's normal tongue movement! I didn't look at my tongue until I felt it buzzing on the tip after a number of weeks I decided to look at it as it was becoming very frequent!! Boom it was moving up and down just like any other twitch !!
