Hi all,Im new here, thank you for reading my post.Ive had muscle body wide twitching for nearly 2 years now, have had all the usual fears, but have been cleared by a neuro.(Although it still always pops into my mind) Lately i have been getting these wierd twitches in my right (dominant) bicep. It happens when i lift something - kind of like doing a bicep curl, the muscle starts to twitch and flicker all over the place, while the muscle is engaged. I immediately thought that my arm was getting weak and the muscles are fatiguing which is causing the twitching.Does anybody else get these twitches while lifting or while the muscle is engaged? It only happens in my right bicep. Do you think i should be worrying as much as i am and should i go back to the doctors?Your comments are appreciated. Thanks, Sam

Hi there and welcome! If you read many of my posts I was asking people on here the same questions about a muscle twitching when used, for example if I lift something it twitches, if I do push ups it twitches, etc. Quite a few people on here also told me in the posts that they also experienced twitching with activity which was comforting. I hope that helps. I still after 8 months of this put my arm on the edge of the computer desk and it twitches, sometimes using my fingers to type or pick something up they twitch so it happens to me all the time.

Sam, I get twitches in contracted muscles. This prompted my second EMG, which was actually OK. I get twitches in the calves while driving, in the hand while writing or typing, in the quads while standing and so on. Don't worry!Anita

Thank you for your replies.Wimpy39jen, you say when you put your arm on the edge of the desk it twitches, do you mean as if you are going to pick the desk up? This is what happens to me and the only way to stop it is to let go of what I am lifting. This is what worries me, because I can make bicep twitch and stop just like that. I do also get random twitches in my arm too.
