Fish Oil and Aspirin: Danger?

That is a little unclear. fish oil and aspirin should not be taken together. They both thin the blood, okay by themselves, but taken together can be dangerous.

In my opinion fish oil is one of the single best things a person can take. I've been taking it for years.

Fish oil is awesome....frankly I would drop the aspirin altogether and up the intake of fish oil.

Also try and find fish oil that guarantees a minimum of mercury.

Agreed on the aspirin and fish oil together being not so good an idea. I find that fish oil alone slows my clotting time (I *beep* for blood sugar testing several times a week, and know immediately if the *beep* doesn't clot normally, and fish oil definitely slows clotting time).

Surgeons will ask you not to take fish oil for several days before an operation for the same reason...

I am on the RAVE diet plus demanding of myslef 8 hous of sleep. A world of difference. The sleep eliminates the anxiety for the most part and gets me concentrated the next morning. The diet which is a vgean whole foods diet eliminates almost all toxins I would normally ingest by eating unhealthy animal products. Well, I am 90% vegetarian and I hope to come down to 5% in the future. The results have been fantastic for my overalll sense of well being. I still twitch but I think my liver has a much lighter load. And I finally acheaved what Oprah and Dr. Oz called the ideal S shaped "thing" that you ahould see after visiting the bathroom. Oh, yeah, the load has been lightened...light as a feather now! I don't think I could ever become a full vegan but I will try to come close. You all know that hormon laidened animal products are very toxic to our body plus the fact that if you have a weak liver you should not be toucnig the stuff since it takes the putrification of the meat for the body to begin to digest it.

Yep. Too much aspirin.
A "standard" blood-thinning, preventative dose of aspirin for someone with no major risk factors for stroke/clots is 81 mg (usually called a "baby aspirin"). 2, 4 or certainly 5 325 mg pills daily is risky. Definitely be sure not to take any Pepto with that either (has aspirin).
Check out the symptoms of aspirin overdose and watch for them. Ringing ears tends to be an early one (yes...many things can cause ringing ears. Don't freak out. Just be aware of this if you're taking mega-doses of ASA).
Take good care,
