ALS and Eye Twitching

Simonna,Everyone's eyes twitches, with or without BFS. Mine has been twitching since I was a little girl, and I always thought it was because I was tired. It's SO common, more than anything.Mitra

I feel like I'm telling people to google eyelid twitching. It's in a class of itself and it usually related to anxiety, tiredness or too much caffeine. With me, ALWAYS tiredness. Since I was a kid. It's so common among the regular population, trust me on this one.Even with my twitchy calf and foot, and eardrum, I usually laugh off the eyelid twitches I get from time to time. At least those are familiar and I know they are nothing dangerous and mean that I need more sleep.

Ah, the glorious eyelid twitching… I've been at this over 7-years now (mostly calves and feet 24/7) and the past year I have been hit with incessant eyelid twitching—all four at different times. Right at this moment, both my upper right and left eyelids are twitching. It's driving me insane. I have Botox injected in my lower lids and it stops them in a day and keeps them still for about three months. I am currently contemplating injections into the upper lids. The only thing holding me back is the fear of ptosis (droopy eyelid). But, fear not, eyelid twitching is very normal and most people will experience it at some point. Hopefully just not as constant and annoying as mine.Best,Sean
